Inexpensive Engagement Rings That You Will Say Yes To
Updated: Dec 23, 2019
Today, I am so excited as I just saw that Blue Nile has an up to 40% off sale for Christmas. And you can still order until Christmas Eve 2019.
There is a ring that I would have absolutely died for if I wasn’t already engaged (and married). It would have completely fitted the bill for an alternative inexpensive engagement ring.
And here it is!! Isn’t she a stunner?
So how is this ring made up exactly? It features an 8 x 8mm champagne colored stone (a genuine margonite) that is encased with a halo of pave set diamonds. It is set in a vintage-esque 14 karat rose gold setting.
You might be wondering if a margonite is safe to wear everyday. I did some research and this is what the GIA had to say. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is the most respected institute to protect all buyers and sellers of gemstones by setting and maintaining the standards used to evaluate gemstone quality.
But you know what, I will buy one myself as I want to see this stunner in real life and do a Blue Nile review. I will let you know if it really arrives on the 18 December like the website says and document the whole process. I will also choose one more ring to order so stay tuned for which one!
When I was getting engaged and married, we wanted to order from Blue Nile but chickened out in the end and went to a local jewelry store instead. But I really want to see for myself now. Blue Nile also has a 30 day money back guarantee so there are no risks really.
And the best thing is that if you are in Europe, your ring will be sent from the UK, which means that before Brexit, there are no duties to pay.
If you are thinking that you are more the type to wear a more modest engagement ring, here are my choices from the Blue Nile’s 40% off selection.
UPDATE: I have since posted a full review and unboxing of this ring.
And ain’t this one just the sweetest thing: Baguette Diamond Ring
This is a baguette cut diamond bezel set in 14 carat gold. You can get it in yellow, rose or white gold. Me? I am a traditionalist and prefer yellow gold in this style. The next one, one was one of my favorite either as an engagement ring or as a wedding band before I chickened out on us buying a ring on the internet. Great thing is that if she prefers to use this as a wedding band, that is perfectly fine, you can then shop for an engagement ring together.
I just love the vintage detail on this vintage diamond eternity ring that has round cut and marquise diamonds. The milgrain is what makes it oh-so-vintage. You can get this also in platinum. Personally, I would only wear this ring in white gold or platinum. The other colors of gold are just too over-powering for this intricate design.

This one was also another one that hit the top of the list for me either as an engagement ring or a wedding band. My sister-in-law sports a pave ring as a engagement and wedding band in one and I just think it is so beautiful and tasteful.
I hope you enjoyed this article on inexpensive engagement rings. Let me know in the comments below which of these is your favorite.
Stay tuned for the Blue Nile Review where I actually order two of the rings!
UPDATE: I have now posted a full review and unboxing of the margonite ring.
